Kart racing is a branch of motorsport that features open-wheeled four-wheeled vehicles known as karts.
They are usually held on reduced-scale tracks, although some professional kart races are also held on full-size motorsport tracks.
Karting is usually seen as the stepping stone to the highest levels of motorsport, with most Formula 1 drivers – including Sebastian Vettel, Nico Rosberg, Ayrton Senna, Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher, Kimi Räikkönen, and Fernando Alonso having they started their career from karting.
Karts vary widely in speed, and some (known as super karts) can reach speeds over 160 kilometers per hour (100 mph), while recreational karts intended for the general public can be limited to lower speeds.
People with ANY symptoms of COVID are not allowed on the Hacienda Verde property.
All drivers must wear the minimum prescribed safety equipment:
Approved Karting helmet with visor
Approved kart suit
Gloves
Side protection
All drivers under the age of 16 must also wear approved neck protection
All drivers under the age of 13 must wear an approved chest protector
All kart training sessions must be booked in advance by contacting us via email or by completing the contact form on our website. 48 hours notice for customers needing rack service (track preparation).
24 hours for ALL other practice drivers and guests.All drivers must accept the new terms and conditions for 2023-24 before driving on the kart track. If you can, please fill it out at home before you arrive at the property, for your own convenience.
